Kelsey Boreham wins the Mount Wellington TT Challenge

The Mt Wellington Challenge TT ran on Sunday 6 March with visiting Canberran, Kelsey Boreham, winning the overall honours on a misty Tasmanian morning.

His winning time on the day was 54min 50sec, which lags a bit behind the course record of 49min 50sec set by Ritchie Porte in 2008.

“So I had a pretty cracking day of racing at the Mount Wellington Challenge TT, which is about 22km long with 1200m climbing.”

“There’s a bit of work to do for me there (to beat Richie Porte’s record) but it was enough on the day.”

“His name (Richie) is spray painted all over the road, same with Nathan Haas. The road graffiti is pretty cool near the summit.”

The team is looking forward to Kelsey coming back to Canberra in a few months and racing together again.
